What it looks like before the primer. 

John doing a little painting today! A couple of coats will be needed. We are getting there. We have finally decided on the colors for the basement. You will see more pictures later. Everything will be white by the end of the day.

here it is during the work, not quite finished, but what a difference. The steps are right beyond that wall. REally anxious for it all to be done. My house is in pieces and I so badly want to put up Christmas stuff, but I can't even get to it. But it will be worth the wait.
