Back in school for nursing. It is a challenge, but fun to be in that environment again. Always trying to find my place and figure out what my dreams are.

Look at these two girls. They were busy and quiet together all day on Sunday, until we found Savannah hiding in the downstairs closet because she felt bad that she accidentally bumped into Lexi and hurt her. We would have never known she was in that back closet, Nana and Aunt Lisa found her because they were looking for something else and there she was.

Door County
What a great end of the summer weekend. We went to Door County, first time for John, with my parents and Jonathan and Aleisha. We left on Saturday morning and arrived around lunch time. We then went for a great, beautiful bike ride in Penninsula State Park where Jackson rode his own bike the whole way. At the beginning of the ride, he was so excited about being on the bike trail, but by the middle, he was saying that "tomorrow we are leaving the bikes in the van, I want to go back to the van!" During the last leg, he just peddled his heart away and pretended he was a storm trooper from Star Wars and that got him through to the end.
The next day, John, Jonathan, Aleisha and I went golfing. It was nice to get out and it was great that mom and dad could watch the kids so we could enjoy our time out. We just had a very relaxing time and had a great weekend. Thank you mom and dad! What beautiful weather we had, too.

Another Bus Mishap
Well, Jackson was supposed to be getting off the bus at about 12:20, which it was, the phone rang and I debated picking up the phone because I was worried I would miss it, but I went in anyways. Thank goodness! IT was Trinity calling "Jackson got on the bus and Mrs. Zellmer buckled them up, well, the bus was in a small "accident" and the bus will be late because they have to fill out a police report. My stomache just dropped. He got home about 20 minutes late and the bus driver said that someone side swiped the bus in a hurry on his (the other driver) way to school. That driver had better be more careful and should know that God was watching over that bus.
I asked Jackson what happened and he said that someone swiped their bus and the police gave the guy a ticket. Jackson said he was not scared at all. I don't know what it is about buses and Wednesdays for us, but I am hoping that it gets better.
The bus driver was very nice and apologized for being late, which I didn't care, just as long as everyone was ok.

Our first bus miscommunication
Well, yesturday Sept 8, was Wed and Savannah and I go to Barnes and Noble for storytime, so we just pick Jackson up from school since we are out that way and usually get home about that time that he is off. I told his teacher in the morning that he would NOT be taking the bus today.
Of course it is getting to be time for us to get going and Savannah is a little putzer, she likes to lollygag around the book store. So I am telling her we need to go right now or we will be late to pick him up from school. So we are on our way to school probably only about 5-10 minutes late because of traffic lights, then we get to the street of the school and the railroad sign is down but there is NO train coming. Some people decided to go around, eventually came my turn, so I just went thinking that Jackson is getting worried that we are late. We get there and I get Olivia out and my little putzy girl and run into the school. Mrs. Zelmer takes a look at me and she puts her hands up to her face and says, "Oh No! He's on the bus!" So we run out to our car and get in, I tell Savannah to buckle up while we are going and Mrs Zelmer went to call the bus company. I am rushing home thinking that now Jackson is really going to be worried.
We get home and the bus is sitting in front of our house and Jackson is sitting on our bench in the front with a smile on his face. I was relieved once I got home, but I had a little talk with Savannah about leaving when mom says to leave. and she had to apologize to her brother. Jackson just asked, where were you? Totally fine about the whole thing.
This morning when I took him to school, his teacher felt so bad. She said that she took her time getting to the bus and checked all of the seat belts and found ways to waste some time and she was watching for me and just thought, well I guess she is not coming. We now made sure that we have the right phone numbers to call. Well everything worked out ok, just a little stress on the mother's and teacher's part.
