Guess where I was last weekend? I thought that I was going to be in Chicago for a shopping weekend, with my mom and good family friend and my mom surprised me with a trip to Washington D.C. I had no clue, until we literally pulled up to baggage and check in at the airport on Friday morning and mom said, "Shannon, we have a plane to catch!" It was such a wonderful surprise. I can't believe that John knew and kept the secret, I was really impressed! My really good friend Maggie lives there, so instead of her coming to Chicago, we went to her!!!! It was great to walk around,( we did a lot of that) and see all of the monuments and just enjoy each others company. We walked around Georgetown and ate a lot of really delicious meals!!! It went way too fast, but it was such a wonderful time to catch up with a great lifetime friend. Thank you!
