Back in school for nursing. It is a challenge, but fun to be in that environment again. Always trying to find my place and figure out what my dreams are.

It's not what you think!!! and the rest of my week!

Yes, this is how I have been walking around since Sat morning. We were at my parent's house and I decided I would practice some karate kicks on slippery wood floor with socks on. I am sure you are starting to guess what happened. Well Ipretended to kick John in the face, then he had to say, "is that the best you can do?" I tried to go higher, but my bottom foot slipped out from under me and I was doing a round house kick so I was in the middle of spinning and I was NOT close to the ground. When my foot slipped, I landed on my left hip my right knee and my chin. Oweeeee!! I layed there for a minute to try to figure out what had happened and I immediately felt my chin and I was turning into Jay Leno. Ice did help, but the bruising is beautiful, and of course I worked on Sat and Sun pm, so I told the story many times to my patients and co workers to reassure them that it was pure stupidity and not anything else. My hip is still a little sore when I sit and if I bump it, my knee is ok, just bruised. Thank goodness my jaw is ok, my neck is alittle stiff from the jolt to the floor, but getting better everyday.

This was hopefully the end to my very crazy week.
MONDAY I had gone to my grandma's and I try to get home by 430 when Jackson gets off the bus,I walked in the house and there he was. The bus was a little early and luckily because we had the dog, I had forgotten to lock the front door and he was able to get in. He said that he locked the door right away. Good Job Jackson!

WEDNESDAY Savannah has her Kids on Keys class in Harland at 345 so Jackson goes to Latchkey at school and I pick him up afterwards. I got to latchekey and he wasn't there, that meant he took the bus home and he got home at around 430, by then it was 5pm. I called home immediately and luckily he answered, but crying. For some reason I had left the back door unlocked and of course everyone was driving extremely slow that day so it felt like it took forever to get home. He was very brave and once again remembered to lock the doors when he got home. I thought that had been a stressful enough week already.

FRIDAY came and it was very cold so I was warming up the car before we all had to kead off to school, and I also had an annual evaluation scheduled for work at 10. Jackson had gone out to get into the van and was having trouble opening the door because it was frozen shut, he thought it was locked, so he unlocked it, or so he thought. I went out to open the doors and realized that the doors were locked and my van was running. With no spare except with John downtown (and that day it had taken him an hour and 15 minutes to get down to work so the last thing he wanted to do was come back) I ended up calling a locksmith and spending money to do something I probably could have done on my own if I wouldn't have been so stressed out. Jackson was an hour late to school and I missed my eval. Thankfully rescheduled and I went home I tried to relax until we headed to my parent's that evening.

I am very glad that last week is done and I don't think that I will forget it. Here's to hoping this week will be much better! Plus I still have good spirits and can laugh a little about it anyways. Posted by Picasa
